Rules & Regulations



      SCHOOL RULES

1. Every student should carry his/her almanac, identity card and school badge to school every day.
2. Students are allowed to go outside the class with class pass only.
3. Students who come to school on their own should arrive at the school before the bell (at least five minutes before the Morning assembly).
4. Shifting from one class room to another classroom between periods should be done in silence and in orderly manner.
5. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions and ID card and school
badge is compulsory for all the students.
6. Non Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Nails to be trimmed weekly.
7. No shouting or whistling is allowed in or around the school building. Running in the corridors is strictly prohibited.
8. Care must be taken of all school properties and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school furniture or write or draw on anything belonging
to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal.
9. The students are expected to report to the school authorities about any kind of damage to the school property by a particular child or a group. Those found guilty will be fined
for the same.
10. No books (other than text books or library books) magazines or paper should be brought to school.
11. Lending or borrowing of money and other articles is not permitted.
12. The school is not responsible for articles lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable / electronic articles to school.
13. Students not availing bus facilities should wait for their parents/guardians in the school premises when the school gets over. In case of delay they should report to the school
office. Those who go home alone should not loiter about on their way but be prompt in returning straight home.
14. Students should observe polite manners, wherever they go. Student’s attitude and behaviour is always under strict vigilance. It is expected that they are at the best of their
behaviour both inside and outside the school premises. They should always greet the teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
15. The school reserves the right to dismiss a student whose diligence or progress in studies is steadily unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
16. Parents and guardians should not visit their wards or teachers in the class rooms without the permission of the Principal.
17. Unless an emergency arises students are not expected to seek permission to leave the school before the school gets over.
18. Students are not supposed to miss any teaching /games/activity period.
19. Bursting crackers or splashing colour during Diwali/ Holi in the school premises is strictly forbidden. Non compliance with these instructions can result in expulsion from the school.
20. The name and class of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belonging including blazer or Shirt of the students.
21. School appointees should wear their respective badges everyday.
22. Students should get their Report Cards signed by the guardians within two days of the receipt of the Report Card.
23. POLYTHENE/PVC Bags are banned inside the campus.




      Absence

1. Students are responsible for making up all work missed by them.
2. No students will be allowed to step out of the school gate without the gate pass signed by the class teacher and Principal.
3. No one who had been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without the submission of leave note and permission of the class teacher.
4. No leave of absence is granted except on medical grounds.
5. Repeated absence without any prior information or valid reason for more than six consecutive days renders the students off the rolls, re-admission may be granted only on
request and payment of fresh admission fee.
6. Attendance is compulsory on the last working day and the reopening day of each vacation. Absence for more than three days immediately after a vacation renders the student
liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls.
7. It is compulsory for the students to obtain 75% attendance as per CBSE norms in the academic year to make them eligible to sit for their final examination. The percentage however
can be relaxed on medical grounds.

8. A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a medical certificate permitting him to do so. Students suffering from the
following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
(a) Chicken pox : Till complete fall of the scabs
(b) Measles : 2 weeks after the rash disappears
(c) Mumps : Until the swelling has gone
(d) Cholera : Till the child is completely well
(e) Whooping Cough : Six weeks.
