PURV HOUSE SYSTEM

At Purv International School, the House System plays a significant role in shaping the students’ overall development, fostering a sense of teamwork, competition, and camaraderie. The system is structured around four houses, each named after eminent Nobel laureates whose lives and legacies inspire students to achieve excellence in various fields. The houses are: Tagore House, Teresa House, Raman House, and Khurana House. Each house is designed to honor the achievements of these renowned personalities and instill their values in the students.

RAMAN
Raman House is named after the brilliant physicist and Nobel Prize winner, C.V. Raman, best known for his discovery of the Raman Effect, which revolutionized the study of light. Raman’s scientific curiosity, perseverance, and innovative thinking inspire the students of Raman House to pursue excellence in science and technology. The house encourages inquiry-based learning and fosters a spirit of scientific exploration. It emphasizes the importance of analytical thinking, research, and innovation, inspiring students to contribute to the world through their understanding of science.
KHURANA
Khurana House is named after Har Gobind Khorana, a Nobel laureate in Physiology or Medicine for his work in the field of genetics and the molecular biology of proteins. Khorana’s pioneering work on the genetic code has had a profound impact on modern science. Students in Khurana House are inspired to pursue knowledge in biology, biotechnology, and genetics. TAGORE
Named after Rabindranath Tagore, the first non-European Nobel laureate in Literature, Tagore House embodies creativity, cultural appreciation, and intellectual depth. Students in Tagore House are encouraged to explore their artistic and intellectual potential, nurturing creativity and self-expression. TERESA
Teresa House is named after Mother Teresa, the Nobel Peace Prize winner renowned for her lifelong commitment to humanitarian work. Mother Teresa’s unwavering dedication to helping the poor, sick, and marginalized in society serves as a guiding light for the students in this house. The core values of Teresa House are compassion, selflessness, and empathy. Students are encouraged to volunteer for community service, helping them develop a sense of social responsibility.
